Yoga at Home: Virtual Workshop on Self-Love Through Scents, Mind, Body and Movement

Yoga at Home: Virtual Workshop on Self-Love Through Scents, Mind, Body and Movement

With all that’s going on these days, it can sometimes feel like a challenge to connect back to yourself in the midst of all the chaos. Practicing yoga at home is one way to remain centered during a time when everything seems so uncertain.

Yoga has a special place in our founder Lin’s heart. Practicing for 15 years, it’s her secret to keeping mindful and productive throughout the day.

We’ve partnered with certified yoga teacher and Lin’s friend for over 10 years, Jackie Pan, to bring you a special yoga at home workshop. On January 23 at 2 PM EST, come join us for our Virtual Workshop on Self-Love Through Scents, Mind, Body and Movement. Combining self-care with aromatherapy, you’ll learn how you can incorporate essential oils with yoga at home to relax and recenter. To enhance and help you immerse yourself even more in this one-of-a-kind experience, we’ve included a full-size bottle of our newest, most uplifting essential oil blend, Drops of Sunshine

In this workshop, Jackie will show you some easy stretches you can do to destress a tight body if you’re working from home. She’ll teach you some poses that can help you manifest what you want in life and even some that promote more self love. You’ll learn all about the top myths about yoga and how to keep grounded when you’re feeling overwhelmed with a few breathwork exercises.

Jackie is a certified yoga teacher who is passionate about sharing her knowledge and practice with others. Currently, she offers virtual private and group classes. She believes yoga is for everyone and her positive energy encourages exploration of self-love on and off the mat.

Learn more about Jackie below!

  1. What does yoga give you and what does it take from you?

Yoga helps me slow down from the day to day hustle and bustle by giving me peace of mind. It also helps me to recognize and overcome my ego while keeping me grounded.

  1. What do you tell people when they say they're not "flexible enough" to do yoga?

You don't need to be flexible to do yoga. It's all about moving and breathing mindfully. As long as you can move and breathe, you can do yoga!

  1. How can scent deepen someone's practice?

When you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed, practicing mindfulness can help you to calm your nervous system and quiet your mind. One key aspect of mindfulness is the ability to focus your attention on a single focal point. Adding aromatics and essential oils to your meditation practice encourages you to focus on your sense of smell and breathe deeply as you redirect your attention back to your breath every time your mind wanders.

  1. How has yoga affected your life?

Yoga has benefited me in more ways than I can ever imagine. There are poses that I never thought I would have the ability to perform because I didn't think I was flexible or strong enough. However, with consistent practice, I was able to break through the physical and mental barriers that restricted my overall performance on and off the mat.

  1. What are the benefits of practicing consistently?

Consistent practice helps build physical and mental strength, improve posture and flexibility, boost metabolism, reduce stress, increase self-confidence and so much more!
