Self-Care for Your Star Sign 101: LEO

Self-Care for Your Star Sign 101: LEO

Regal. Fierce. Confident. Leos are ruled by the sun, and it shows! Your warm demeanor and center-stage attitude brighten up any room like a burst of sunlight. The height of summer is Leo season which means right now everything is more intense for fiery Leos – including your need for self-care. Here’s how to tailor your self-care rituals to nurture your inner Lion.

Self-Care Tips for Leos

  1. Get grounded.
Leos’ energy can be expansive, like the sun’s. While this is what makes you such a great leader and friend, it can also leave you feeling scattered. Return to a place of stability with grounding self-care products and practices. Keep a rescue kit handy with grounding essential oils (like Sandalwood or Hinoki) and grounding crystals (like hematite or smoky quartz) to calm your mind in a pinch. Reconnecting with nature through wild swimming or earthing are also great practices for Leos who need to “come back down to Earth.”

  2. Enjoy social self-care.
As a Leo, you likely love to be social and spend time with others. That’s why many of the traditional solo self-care practices out there might sound a little…boring. While solo meditation or exercise is a must sometimes, try to work in more social ways to practice self-care, too. Plan weekly group fitness, yoga, or meditation classes. Splurge on a spa day with friends a few times a year.

  3. Release tension in a healthy way.
Leos often struggle with perfectionism or competitiveness. You know what you want and you’ll do what it takes to get there! But the trouble is, that drive to be perfect and win can leave you feeling tense and stressed out. Incorporate healthy ways to relieve tension into your self-care rituals. These could be physical rituals (like massage, gua sha, or stretching) or mental rituals (like meditation and journaling).

Self-Care Fun for Leos

Leo, you’re at your best when you feel sunny, independent, and bold. Use these self-care pleasures to tap into your true nature.
