MO MI Beauty was born when founder Diane Read was living between London and Hong Kong and had difficulties finding beauty essentials that she felt were both earth-conscious and kind to animals. Eventually her intuition led her to create a line of salon-quality vegan hair products featuring nourishing, restorative and uplifting properties that support healthy tresses, peace of mind and non-profit organizations. She brought in her long-time expert hair stylist Damon Thomas to help her develop a line that would not only be formulated with all-natural ingredients, but would also offer salon-quality results.
From day one, MO MI’s focus has been to create eco-friendly vegan hair products that would be beneficial for beauty both on the inside and outside. But, that’s not all. What really stands out in their formulas is the addition of adaptogens, herbal extracts, and blends of flower and gem essences that have been used for centuries in Asian and Ayurvedic traditions. Each product is cruelty free and consciously handcrafted in small batches. The attention they place in their bottles goes beyond what's inside. They’re always looking for ways to better package and develop their products to make sure that the planet feels as little impact as possible from their production.
A long-time member of the Pink Moon collective, Lin first met Diane at a trade show during the summer of 2015. They instantly clicked over their love for animals. Even though the brand has changed and grown tremendously since its beginnings, MO MI has always stayed true to their core mission of creating products that do good and give back. It has been inspiring to see how much they have given back to and advocated for animal rights throughout the years. Being a part of their evolution has genuinely been an honor.
