Collaborator for Change: Manuela Welton
At Pink Moon, we place a high value on community and giving back. As a matter of fact, from the moment we decided to create our digital wellcare space, we knew we wanted to create a unique initiative that fused these two values together. Our ultimate goal was to create something that would allow meaningful and far reaching change birthed from collaboration.
For us, this meant putting a spin on the traditional affiliate program structure.
The amazing women that we work with were chosen very intentionally. We have a lot of respect for the women we have partnered with, and, more often than not, have been admirers of their contributions to the beauty space for years.
We are incredibly honored to partner with Manuela Welton, an intuitive energy worker and healing facilitator who we had the opportunity to introduce you to last fall for our Energetic Hygiene Virtual Workshop. Manuela inspires us to move and love our body, let go of negative energy in our lives, and she emanates this energy that we just all want to be surrounded with. Pink Moon: Tell us a little bit about you and your platform.
Manuela: I’ve been a healing facilitator for over 15 years now, helping people from all backgrounds get in touch with themselves and their gift. I believe we are all incredibly gifted beings, we just have to learn and get in touch with our own innate gift, as each of us hold a different connection to it.
I utilize embodiment and movement to center in our own personal life experience, to understand the trauma and blocks that our body holds and how to get deeper in touch with ourselves.
Pink Moon: How has self care positively impacted your life?
Manuela: Self-care is a gift. Regardless if you have 5 minutes, or 10 or 30, opening space in our day, and our week to nourish, to attune to what we need, to take care of ourselves first, before we take care of others. I have to say it has taken some time to learn this for myself. As I am constantly putting clients, family and friends before my needs. But I recently just connected that by filling up my cup before I am of service to others, I can give from a much more loving place. Because there is no question around time, as I know I am constantly putting myself first.
Pink Moon: Since you are one of our Collaborators for Change, what charity have you chosen to work with? Why?
Manuela: No Us Without You LA, 501C3 Non-profit providing food security for undocumented back of house staff during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
I walk two worlds, as a refugee myself, I arrived to this country with my family and we had little to no resources. From a personal experience I know what is like to not have any food for days. Therefor I have made it a priority to always give back for the opportunities that have been presented on my path. They are doing great work in providing food for people throughout the pandemic
Pink Moon: What are your favorite products in the Pink Moon shop (or what are you most interested in/excited to try)?
Manuela: I have fallen in love with the Midnight Melody body oil. It reminds me of one of my most favorite places on Earth, Bali. And each morning I take time before my meditation to rub it around my heart, take a few deep breaths, and walk with Bali each moment of every day.
I also absolutely love the Drops of Sunshine oil, it gives me a spark mid-day when I feel I am ready to take a nap. It gives me a second wind.
And all of Relato Nativo’s products, and the Copal bath salts. I highly recommend ALL their oils.
